What Second Wind provides
- Free tools. Calculators, a fairness checker, a time limits calculator, guides and the CV Match Check. They give general information about employment rights in England, Scotland and Wales (Northern Ireland's law is different) using the official figures in force when we last checked them (shown on each page). They can be wrong for your situation and they aren't legal advice.
- Letters. Each letter is assembled from paragraphs we have written in advance, chosen and filled in from your answers. Your letter isn't generated by AI and no person writes it to order. You must read every letter before you send it and change or remove anything that isn't true or doesn't fit your situation. You send it yourself; we never contact your employer.
- CV builder. You write your CV and cover letter. We lay them out and check them against plain rules. If you press "Suggest improvements" on a box, an AI may suggest new wording for that box, labelled as an AI suggestion: it can be wrong, and it's your choice whether to use it. You're responsible for making sure everything on your CV is true.
- Your desk. There's no account: your desk is a private link. Anyone with the link can open it, so keep it safe. After you buy, you can change your answers and download again for as long as we keep your desk (12 months from your last visit).
- Not legal advice. We aren't solicitors and we don't act for you, give advice on claims, or represent you. For advice on your own situation, contact Acas or Citizens Advice, or a solicitor.
- No guaranteed outcome. Employers, tribunals and recruiters make their own decisions. We can't promise any result from a letter or a CV.
- Fair use. Letters and CV downloads are for your own use. Please don't resell them.

Our liability
We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We're not responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable. Nothing limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that can't legally be limited.
Not legal or professional advice
Second Wind provides software, templates and general information to help you organise your obligations. It isn't legal, financial or professional advice and doesn't replace a qualified adviser for your specific situation.

Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
