Dear Jane Smith

Claim for my redundancy pay and other money owed

My employment as Warehouse Team Leader with Northfield Logistics Ltd ended on 30 November 2026 by reason of redundancy. I'm writing to claim the payments I'm owed, which I haven't yet received in full.

I'm claiming:

  • Statutory redundancy pay of £6,008, worked out on my age, length of continuous service and weekly pay. Please treat this letter as my written claim for a redundancy payment under section 164 of the Employment Rights Act 1996.
  • Pay for my notice period, or the balance of it, at my normal pay.
  • Pay for holiday I had built up but not taken by my leaving date.

Please pay these within 14 days of the date of this letter and send me a written breakdown showing how each amount was worked out. If you disagree with any of it, please tell me in writing which part and why.
